Training

We are the Kolkata action team 2011/12, and seeing as its now coming to the end of training we think its about time we introduced ourselves:

Josh, 22, from Ipswich, Suffolk, I have just graduated from York University where I studied Chemistry. Over the next year I hope to grow closer in my relationship with God and discern his will for my future.

Harriet, 19, born and raised in south Devon, just finished a foundation diploma in art and design, specialising in photography. I have a place at Farnham university to study photography next year, but I feel as though God may re-direct my plans in the coming year.

Ellen, 18, from Kingswood, Bristol, I have just finished studying Childcare and Education at college and am now a qualified Level 2 nursery nurse. next year when I finish Action Teams i hope to get a job in a nursery or pre-school. My hopes for this yearare to grow closer in my relationship with God and to find out what Gods plans for my future are.

Naomi, 18, I live in Littlehampton down on the South Coast. I have finished my A-levels studying French, Biology and English and currently have no sure idea of what I want to do after India. I hope to become more independent, closer to God and gain more of an idea of my plans for the future.

Training has been brilliant so far; we have learnt so much about mission and what to expect for the year ahead, we have been to Min-Y-Don and lived to tell the tales, we've bonded so well as a team and learnt about each others strengths and weaknesses, we have done a lot of praying and played copious amounts of card games.

We have been to a training church for two weekends out of this month (Queens Road Baptist church, Coventry) It was an amazing experience and we each made great relationships and learnt a lot from being there. 

Meeting with past action teamers has been great as well, as it gives us a better insight and makes us excited about setting off on our adventure to India Kolkata!!
